  • This calculator is designed for comparing Katrin products only. Independent industry associations advise that CO₂e figures from different manufacturers should not be compared because there is no guarantee that they have been calculated in the same way.
  • The calculations were done by a third party; AFRY* according to their standard calculations. They are ”cradle-to-gate” calculations, applying the ISO 14067:2018 standard. Calculations are based on sheet use in grams per hand drying. The sheet use is Metsä's expert estimation and changeable upon need. Grams are based on actual tissue weight.
  • The CO₂ figures, calculated using average data from Metsä's mills, are considered conservative estimates and likely overestimate the emissions vs actual emissions.
  • The intended use is for guiding professional sales teams and buyers to better assess different Katrin products. It is not a tool intended for consumer use. It is not a tool intended for consumer use.
  • It must not be used to create claims or product specific information or be re-published online or in any printed materials.

Účel, cieľová skupina a obmedzenia kalkulačky

Táto kalkulačka je navrhnutá tak, aby používateľom pomohla posúdiť potenciálne náklady, spotrebu a emisie CO₂ spojené s rôznymi typmi tissue papiera značky Katrin. Uhlíková stopa tissue papiera značky Katrin spoločnosti Metsä Tissue je založená na údajoch získaných z vlastných papierenských výrobných závodov a hodnotových reťazcov spoločnosti.

Táto kalkulačka je určená na podporu predajných tímov a nákupcov pri lepšom posúdení rôznych produktov značky Katrin. Je navrhnutá na profesionálne použitie v B2B (business to business) prostredí a nie je určená spotrebiteľom. Používatelia smú upravovať všetky vstupné hodnoty, aby presnejšie odrážali dané informácie, čím sa zabezpečí transparentnosť. Kalkulačka vypočíta na základe poskytnutých údajov výsledky pre každý typ tissue papiera. Údaje o emisiách CO₂ vypočítané na základe údajov z našich závodov za rok 2021 sa považujú za konzervatívne odhady a pravdepodobne nadhodnocujú skutočné emisie.

Tento nástroj nepredstavuje Hodnotenie cyklu životnosti (LCA), slúži skôr ako simulácia rôznych premenných, aby sa uľahčilo porovnanie rôznych typov tissue papiera značky Katrin. Preto sa výpočty nesmú používať na vytváranie vyhlásení o konkrétnych produktoch a nesmú sa nikde prezentovať ani zverejňovať.

Výpočty vykonal subjekt tretej strany, spoločnosť AFRY*, v súlade so svojimi štandardnými výpočtami, s použitím údajov z roku 2021. Výpočty boli vykonané prístupom „od kolísky po bránu“ (angl. cradle-to-gate) použitím normy ISO 14067:2018. Pravidlá pre kategóriu environmentálnej stopy produktu (PEFCR) na výpočet stopy (kategória vplyvu GWP). Ostatné kategórie vplyvu PEFCR neboli do štúdie zahrnuté. Okrem fáz výroby pri prístupe „od kolísky po bránu“ v rámci PEFCR sa v tejto štúdii zohľadnila aj konverzia.

Výpočet emisií CO₂ sa zakladá na spotrebe útržkov v gramoch na jedno sušenie rúk. Spotreba útržkov je odhad odborníka spoločnosti Metsä a v závislosti od potreby sa môže meniť. Počet gramov sa zakladá na skutočnej hmotnosti tissue papiera. Okrem vplyvov na klímu majú tissue výrobky aj niekoľko ďalších vplyvov na životné prostredie, napríklad v súvislosti so spotrebou zdrojov, biodiverzitou a spotrebou vody. Táto kalkulačka je navrhnutá výhradne na porovnávanie produktov značky Katrin. Nezávislé priemyselné asociácie odporúčajú neporovnávať údaje CO₂e od rôznych výrobcov, keďže neexistuje záruka, že boli vypočítané rovnakou metodikou.

TTáto kalkulačka a jej funkcie súvisiace s výpočtom emisií CO₂ a zdrojmi údajov boli počas vývoja tejto kalkulačky skontrolované odborníkmi na LCA z Technické výskumné centrum Fínska (VTT)**. Na základe tejto kontroly boli vylepšené funkcie kalkulačky, transparentnosť základných údajov a predpokladov.
